By altering regulations, he'll sell more of his product with defects or less-than-ideal outcomes (look at his 'self-driving' car debacle). He can also tap into the federal market unchallenged, a monopoly few in the world could emulate.

Thank you again for raising yet another reason why Musk's grip on power is unmitigated evil and we should all be well aware of what this dreadful administration is permitting. In some ways, I'm glad I'm on the other side of the planet, even though the knock-on effect will certainly be felt here in Australia.
