I am greatly saddened and appalled there are 19M innocent lives threatened by an enemy within, an enemy once thought better than the blast of tanned, Republican hatred that was Trump. Here in Australia, the "strollout" (for that is what it was called for the tardy and inept conservative national government rollout of various vaccines) astounded and angered those who took the Federal government at their word about taking decisive action. As in the US, there was significant blame- and cost-shifting between the Feds & the States, with the Feds changing their tune when it suited to blame the States or move the funding responsibility. However, as dreadfully late as they were, at least here in Aus, children have been given at least 2 jabs. Again, I am so sorry for you and the children who undoubtedly will suffer as a result of the inaction on the part of your "authorities". To feel betrayed by your own people (Dems) is a dreadful feeling and we on the progressive side of politics here are feeling like that with an election looming and our side (Labor, the equivalent of the Dems, but without the huge $$!) basically attempting to not rock the boat by putting out progressive policies. We're really starting to look like conservative-lite. Sadly, I feel as you do, which is a dreadful let-down. Best wishes and strength and support to you and family.
