I know how you feel, as we have the *almost* same problem here in Australia, with 2 parties (not just candidates) which either are unacceptable completely or are too craven to do anything properly or with a little guts & social conscience. Our choice is Labor or the conservative coalition, but...IF I don't vote for Labor, the other mob is unthinkable. With our preferential voting system, even if I put Labor 2nd or 3rd, whom do I put at the top of the ballot? If I put the Socialists or Greens, they won't win (they *may* hold the balance of power in the Parliament), but their preferences will still flow to Labor. Therefore, why not just vote Labor & be done with it??
If you make your vote informal or just don't vote at all, it's a vote actually for Trump, as you are 1 less Dem vote. Don't do it, no matter how distasteful it may be to you. The consequences for the US & world otherwise are unthinkable.
