"... is never an option..." While sadly it is a certainty women, minority groups, the disadvantaged and disabled will have a worse time under Trump II, there is no alternative to fighting back and planning workarounds to a system which will be constructed to crush or suppress the most basic of human services and humanitarian aid (Medicaid, the civil service, education, women's rights, just to name a few).
Internationally, countries will suffer as well, as tariffs bite, forcing GDP of especially smaller countries to contract. US citizens too will hurt at the other end, having to pay what amounts to a regressive tax, hidden though it may be. There will be bizarre alliances, perhaps not necessarily a bad thing if it stops armed conflict. Trump has said he can stop the wars (Ukraine & Israel/Palestine) in 15 minutes once in power. While this is obvious hyperbole, Trump is clever enough to know war disrupts him privately making money. Although he would realise the military-industrial complex needs wars for the US economy to keep ticking over, this is not *his* hip-pocket nerve. Therefore, he will care less about ramifications to the likes of Boeing and Thales than Trump Inc. In a perverse way, that *might* be a saving grace for the globe! Blue sky mining? Maybe, but the alternatives are too bleak and horrid to contemplate!
