OK I'm an avowed atheist, yet much of what you have written is common sense and indicative of a good moral compass. Of great interest in your final list was "Stop being afraid of what you don't understand." Here in Australia we have just held a referendum into having a Treaty with our Indigenous people who suffered at the hands of the white invasion in 1788. Progressive people and people of conscience voted Yes to the Treaty. Conservatives voted No, united in the slogan "If you don't know, vote No", encouraging people to remain uneducated in the issue. How intellectually bankrupt, lazy and plain ignorant. Ignorance, whether blind or wilful, accounts for most of your list. Lies cover for lack of knowledge, apart from personal advantage. Believing in one who leads with lies is part of laziness as well as self-interest. Cheating and killing seems to be an American past-time, all somehow caught up in the 2nd Amendment - at least that's what it seems to outsiders. Your "Start" points are all good, especially the 2nd-last: "...listening instead of talking...". As someone once said, we seem to listen to reply rather than understand. In Trump's case, if more people listened to understand, they would see the palpable lies for what they are and banish Trump to the rubbish dump of history. Sadly, I fear this is not to be and I fear for the America of 2025 and beyond. As an Australian citizen, I fear for the knock-on effect and into what conflict Australia will be plunged as a proxy of the USA. Bad times potentially ahead...
