Sadly I feel what you say is correct, that the Left needs to re-group and organise. What was not present was a catalyst such as the Vietnam conflict around which good people coalesced and fought right-wing government worldwide.

I don't know what is the US' 21st century Vietnam, but it will need something of that magnitude to make people realise what evil has happened. Trump will not surprise us by being benevolent. Trump will surely carryout his will and help his mates such as Elon.

You will have to find an issue or set of issues on which to hang a battle which will resonate with those who need the need health, education and welfare which will certainly be ripped from under them.
