While you are absolutely right it's a game changer, not rolling it out in areas you named as well as the Pacific Island nations is wasting the new resource. Having worked there for the past decade+, comms is such a difficult thing, *especially* in times of monsoon, typhoon or other climate emergencies. Entire countries can be without comms for days on end, while casualties pile up and debris endangers lives. With Messages via Sat, all that could change instantly. I wonder how long it will take for Apple to find a way to monetise this...
